Ted Hearne has released his expressive new piece, ‘Microwork’. It’s a surreal, unnerving take on Americana that moves from a western-esque sound into an autotune-laced chorale with vocals from award-winning choir The Crossing and Donald Nally. It twitches with maximalism and hyper-pop influences, with unnatural harmonies colliding with experimental textures and leading the track into an alien, futuristic world. Over its six minutes, we're taken on a journey through a disconcerting range of vibes and sounds, at times echoing Bon Iver at his most experimental.
